In April of 2019, the first ever image of a Black Hole, a mere 55 million light-years away was published for all to see. The endeavor captured the the world’s imagination and went viral throughout social media with the media circulating the image globally. The painstaking work it took to obtain that single photograph is the central focus of this compelling documentary, as well as related research by other experts in the field of astro physics who are dedicated in their quest to find answers.

To tease the idea of grandeur and the limitless scale, the opening title sequence uses carefully choreographed and abstracted representations of a Black Hole as if probing and searching for answers. Playing with visual and conceptual representation, the end of the sequence offers an unexpected nod to the idea of looking up at the sky and our boundless search for answers in deep space.
