Playful animated typography was used to reinforce the idea of family in this fun opener for HBO’s doc series “A Family Is A Family Is A Family”. The HBO program explores the dynamics of present day families from the point of view of children. By asking simple questions about their family life, reactions are both funny and highly revealing. The idea of using colorful type to reflect the overall format of the series seemed like an appropriate fit and a nod to the humor and “feel good” nature of the content.
