Newtown is a documentary about the mass school shooting that took place in the quiet suburban town in Connecticut back in 2012. Twenty children aged between 6 and 7 years old, as well as six adult staff members lost their lives. The powerful film looks at the collective grief of those deeply affected and what happens when the news cameras have gone.
This internal sequence depicts the frantic text messaging that took place during the event, giving a sense of the back and forth between parents as the tragic details of the shooting unfolds.
